Organic cotton is considered better for the environment for several reasons:

1. No Harmful Chemicals: Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. These chemicals can pollute soil, water, and air, harming wildlife, plants, and even humans. By avoiding these, organic cotton helps maintain a cleaner environment.

2. Soil Health: Organic farming practices emphasize crop rotation and composting, which improve soil health and fertility. This reduces soil erosion and enhances biodiversity in the soil, which is essential for healthy ecosystems.

3. Water Conservation: While cotton is generally water-intensive, organic cotton farming typically uses less water. Organic cotton farming often relies on rainwater and natural irrigation methods, which reduce dependence on groundwater and water-intensive irrigation systems.
